I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
